WHAT IS FSC®

It is an acronym for the words Forest Stewardship Council. It is the most recognized green seal in the world, with a presence in over 70 countries on every continent. Currently, certified products generate billions of dollars in annual business worldwide.

HOW IT CAME ABOUT

The Council was created as a result of an initiative for environmental conservation and responsible development of forests worldwide. Its goal is to promote the rational use of forests, ensuring their long-term survival. To achieve this goal, the FSC® created a set of internationally recognized rules, called Principles and Criteria, which reconcile ecological safeguards with social benefits and economic viability, and are the same for all countries.

Any food packaging must be produced under strict cleaning, safety, and hygiene standards, as Apolo Embalagens does with extreme care. However, this alone is not enough to accredit a product as recommended; it must also use raw materials from environmentally responsible forests. Therefore, its preferred suppliers are those that produce raw materials under FSC® Certification.

When purchasing Apolo Embalagens products, you bring to your company the assurance of highly reliable quality and pass on to your customers food stored in perfect conditions of safety, hygiene, and environmental responsibility.

WHY SHOULD YOUR PACKAGING HAVE THE FSC® SEAL?

The FSC® seal guarantees that the wood used in a given product, such as cardboard packaging, comes from a production process managed in an ecologically appropriate, socially fair, and economically viable manner, and in compliance with all applicable laws.

The seal is a guarantee of origin that also serves to guide wholesale or retail buyers in choosing a differentiated, value-added product capable of attracting a more discerning audience and thus opening new markets. At the same time, it allows conscious consumers to choose a product that does not degrade the environment and contributes to the social and economic development of forest communities.
